PP (Polypropylene) and PU (Polyurethane) are two different materials commonly used in air filters. Here's a comparison of PP type air filters and PU type air filters:
Material Composition:
PP Type Air Filters: PP filters are made of polypropylene, which is a thermoplastic polymer. It is known for its excellent chemical resistance, low density, and high tensile strength.
PU Type Air Filters: PU filters are made of polyurethane, which is a polymer composed of organic units linked by urethane links. Polyurethane offers good flexibility, durability, and resistance to abrasion.
Filtration Efficiency:
PP Type Air Filters: PP filters typically provide efficient particulate filtration. They can effectively capture dust, pollen, and other solid particles from the air.
PU Type Air Filters: PU filters also offer good filtration efficiency and can effectively trap airborne particles. They are commonly used in automotive air filters and HVAC systems.

1. Our pp type air filters are panel filters using synthetic non-woven fabrics. Synthetic non-woven fabrics have very good filtering performance, but the hardness is lower than that of cellulose blotting paper.
2. To ensure proper stiffness of the synthetic pp type air filters, the filter media is placed in an injection-molded plastic frame. Special plastic mesh provides additional reinforcement, which also prevents damage during handling.
